Remote Education

When attendance in school is not possible (for example, in the event of a school closure), we provide high‑quality remote education to ensure learning continues, engagement remains strong, and pupils stay connected with their teachers and peers.

We have put in place a remote learning plan to support your child's learning from home.

  • Remote learning is a last resort – used only when in‑school attendance is not possible.
  • Inclusive provision for all – whether whole‑school closures or individual absences, we work with families to remove barriers and ensure access for every child, including those with SEND.
  • School communication – parents will be notified as soon as possible in the event of an unforeseen closure.
  • How we deliver learning – Class teachers will use Class Dojo to share work from 10:00am. Our remote learning programme includes a mix of lessons, videos and tasks, supported by resources and updates.
  • Teacher support – teachers are available during school hours to answer questions and provide help.
  • Attendance and engagement monitored – pupils learning remotely are registered and tracked in line with Department for Education requirements.
  • Safeguarding and online safety – we use secure platforms, provide guidance for parents, and regularly remind pupils about safe and responsible use of technology.
  • Fair access for all – we provide support for devices and connectivity where needed and adapt learning for pupils with additional needs.
  • Contact us – if you have any concerns or need additional support, please contact your child’s teacher or the school office.
