Growing with hope; serving with compassion; transforming with humility. Romans 12

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Collective Worship

At Frisby Church of England Primary School, Collective Worship is at the heart of our daily life together. It is a time when our whole school community comes together to pause, reflect, and celebrate, drawing inspiration from the Christian faith and our school values.

Our Vision and Values

Our Christian vision guides everything we do, helping children to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. Collective Worship gives us an opportunity to explore and live out our values—such as respect, kindness, perseverance, and responsibility—in ways that are meaningful and relevant to our lives.

Daily Worship
Each day, worship is led by a range of people from across our community:
  • School leaders and staff

  • Local clergy and church visitors

  • Pupils themselves, who regularly help to plan and lead worship

Through songs, stories, drama, prayer, and reflection, we learn more about the Bible, Christian festivals, and the life and teachings of Jesus. We also make connections with our wider world, considering how we can be courageous advocates for justice, fairness, and care for creation.

Celebration and Reflection

Collective Worship is also a time to celebrate achievements and special events. We enjoy coming together to give thanks for each other, to mark key points in the Christian calendar, and to reflect on the big questions of life.

Links with St. Thomas’s Church

As a Church school, we have strong links with St. Thomas’s Church in Frisby. We visit the church for key services such as Harvest, Christmas, and Easter, and welcome members of the church community into school to enrich our worship.

Inclusive for All

Our worship is invitational and inclusive. While rooted in Christian tradition, it is designed so that all children and adults—whatever their beliefs or backgrounds—can engage, reflect, and find meaning.
